The Palace of Westminster in London is the meeting place of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, and before it of the Parliaments of England and Great Britain. A royal palace from the 11th century, it was rebuilt in Gothic Revival style by Charles Barry and Augustus Pugin after a fire in 1834, and the name Westminster is used for Parliament itself.
