Hutelutush-Inshushinak

c. 12th century BCE · 12th century BCE

Hutelutush-Inshushinak was a king of Elam in the late 12th century BCE, the last important ruler of the Shutrukid dynasty of the Middle Elamite period. Around 1110 BCE he was defeated by Nebuchadnezzar I of Babylon, who invaded Elam and brought back the statue of the god Marduk that the Elamites had carried off decades earlier. After his reign Elam disappears from the written record for about three centuries.
