Iazyges
The Iazyges were a Sarmatian people who settled on the Great Hungarian Plain between the Danube and the Tisza in the early first century CE. They fought Rome under Domitian and in the Marcomannic Wars; after their defeat in 175 Marcus Aurelius sent 5,500 of their horsemen to serve in Britain. They remained Roman neighbours and clients until the arrival of the Goths and Huns.
