Goths
The Goths were a Germanic people who by the 3rd century lived north of the Black Sea and the lower Danube, from where they raided the Roman Empire. They later divided into the Visigoths and Ostrogoths, who after migrations across the empire founded kingdoms in Gaul, Spain and Italy. Their bishop Ulfilas translated the Bible into Gothic in the 4th century.
