Huns
The Huns were a nomadic people who appeared on the edges of Europe in the late fourth century CE and built a powerful empire, most famously under Attila. Some historians have proposed that they were linked to the Xiongnu, though the connection remains debated. The question forms part of the discussion of the Xiongnu Empire's legacy.
