Idris Katakarmabi
Idris Katakarmabi was a mai, or king, of the Kanem-Bornu Empire of the Sayfawa dynasty, who reigned in the early 16th century. He defeated the Bulala, who had driven the Sayfawa out of Kanem, and reoccupied the old capital Njimi, although the dynasty continued to rule from Bornu. His campaigns restored Sayfawa prestige and prepared the later expansion under Idris Alooma.
