Igun Street
Igun Street, or Igun Eronmwon, is the quarter of Benin City in southern Nigeria occupied by the royal guild of bronze casters. For centuries its members made the brass heads, plaques and figures for the Oba's court using the lost-wax method. The guild survived the British sack of the city in 1897 and its members still cast brass works there today.
