Person
Jaitrasimha
Jaitrasimha was a Guhila ruler of Mewar in the first half of the thirteenth century. He resisted the early Delhi Sultanate, although the sultan Iltutmish sacked the Guhila capital Nagda in the 1220s, and he fought neighbouring Chaulukya and Paramara rulers. His reign made Mewar a significant regional power and saw Chittor become the dynasty's main seat.
