Jaito Morcha
The Jaito Morcha was a protest campaign by the Akali movement at Jaito in the princely state of Nabha, India, from 1923 to 1925. It began after the British forced Maharaja Ripudaman Singh to abdicate, when volunteers held prayers for him at the Gangsar gurdwara. Successive bands of marchers were arrested, and in February 1924 state troops fired on a large column, killing many.
