Jaisamand Lake
Jaisamand Lake, also called Dhebar Lake, is a large artificial lake in the Udaipur district of Rajasthan, created in the 1680s when Maharana Jai Singh of Mewar dammed the Gomati River. Long counted among the largest artificial lakes in Asia, it has several inhabited islands, and marble pavilions and cenotaphs stand along its great dam.
