Jalón

The Jalón is a river of north-eastern Spain, a right-bank tributary of the Ebro that rises in the province of Soria and flows north-east past Calatayud to join the Ebro near Zaragoza. Its valley carries the main route between the Ebro basin and the central Meseta, followed by the Roman road and by today's railway and motorway. In antiquity it was the land of Celtiberian peoples such as the Titti, Belli and Lusones.
