Jubaland
Jubaland is a region of southern Somalia west of the Jubba River, centred on the port of Kismayo. Britain ceded it from Kenya Colony to Italy in 1924 as a reward for Italy's part in the First World War, and it was joined to Italian Somaliland in 1926. Since 2013 it has been an autonomous federal member state of Somalia.
