Kafue River
The Kafue is a river of Zambia, about 960 km long and the largest tributary of the Zambezi lying wholly within the country. It rises near the Congo border, flows past the Copperbelt, crosses the wide Kafue Flats and joins the Zambezi downstream of Kariba. In the early colonial period it roughly divided North-Western from North-Eastern Rhodesia, and its dams now supply much of Zambia's hydroelectric power.
