Khurshid of Tabaristan

d. c. 761 · 8th century

Khurshid was the last Dabuyid ispahbad of Tabaristan, ruling from about 740. After the Abbasid revolution he paid tribute to the new caliphate, but he rebelled in the late 750s, and in 759–760 Abbasid armies overran Tabaristan. He fled to Daylam and took poison around 761, ending the dynasty's rule.
