Kingdom of Sine

Also known as Sine

The Kingdom of Sine was a Serer kingdom in present-day Senegal, located in the region dominated by the Jolof Empire. It was among the polities associated with the Jolof confederation in its early period. Sine retained its own monarchy and identity over a long period and survived as a kingdom into the colonial era.
