Kingdom of Sigave
Sigave is one of the two traditional kingdoms of the island of Futuna in Wallis and Futuna, covering the western part of the island around the village of Leava. Its king, the Tu'i Sigave, is chosen by the noble families. Sigave accepted a French protectorate in 1888 together with Alo, and the 1961 statute of the territory recognises its king alongside the rulers of Uvea and Alo.
