Kingkitsarat
Kingkitsarat was the first king of Luang Phrabang, ruling from 1707 to 1713. A grandson of Sourigna Vongsa, he returned from exile in Sipsong Panna to contest the throne of Lan Xang, and his establishment at Luang Prabang formalised the division of the kingdom into the rival states of Luang Phrabang and Vientiane.
