Kipchak languages
The Kipchak languages are a branch of the Turkic languages spoken from eastern Europe to Central Asia, including Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tatar, Bashkir, Karakalpak, Nogai and Crimean Tatar. They descend from the speech of the medieval Kipchaks and Cumans, which became the common language of the Golden Horde and of many Mamluk soldiers in Egypt.
