Kushano-Sasanian Kingdom

c. 230–365 CE · 3rd century · Also known as Kushanshahs, Indo-Sasanians

The Kushano-Sasanian Kingdom was the realm of Sasanian princes who governed Bactria and parts of Gandhara after the Sasanian conquest of the western Kushan lands in the 3rd century CE. Its rulers styled themselves Kushanshah, "king of the Kushans", and issued coins that blended Kushan and Sasanian designs. It gave way in the later 4th century to the Kidarites.
