1919 · 20th century · Also known as Kyabazinga of Busoga

Kyabazinga is the title of the king of Busoga, in eastern Uganda. The office was created under British rule in 1919 to head the Busoga principalities as a single unit, its holder chosen from among the senior hereditary chiefs. Abolished with Uganda's other kingdoms in 1967, it was restored as a cultural institution in 1995.
