Lady Six Sky

d. 741 · 8th century · Also known as Lady Wak Chanil Ajaw

Lady Six Sky was a princess of Dos Pilas who arrived at Naranjo in 682 CE and restored its royal dynasty after defeats by Caracol. She governed for her young son K'ak' Tiliw Chan Chaak and was shown on monuments in the guise of a warrior ruler. Her rule revived Naranjo as a regional power in eastern Petén.
