Lake Neuchâtel

Lake Neuchâtel is the largest lake lying entirely within Switzerland, in the west of the country at the foot of the Jura, with the cities of Neuchâtel and Yverdon on its shores. The site of La Tène at its northern end gave its name to the Celtic culture of the later Iron Age, and the lake is rich in prehistoric lake-dwelling sites.
