Lake Ngami

Lake Ngami is a shallow, often seasonal lake in north-western Botswana, fed by overflow from the Okavango delta. David Livingstone's party reached it in 1849, bringing it to European attention. In the 19th century the Batawana settled nearby, and the area became the centre of their chiefdom.
