Lakshmikarna, also called Karna, was the most powerful king of the Kalachuris of Tripuri, ruling from about 1041 to 1073. He campaigned in Bengal, Kalinga and Malwa and, allied with the Chalukya Bhima I, helped defeat Bhoja of the Paramara dynasty. Late in his reign he was defeated by the Chandela king Kirtivarman, and Kalachuri power declined after him.
