Liber Abaci
Liber Abaci (the Book of Calculation) is a treatise on arithmetic completed by Leonardo of Pisa, known as Fibonacci, in 1202 and revised in 1228. It taught the Hindu–Arabic numerals and their use in commercial arithmetic, such as bookkeeping, currency conversion and the calculation of interest. It helped replace Roman numerals in European commerce and contains the rabbit problem that gives rise to the Fibonacci sequence.
