Dagobert of Pisa

d. 1105 · 11th century · Also known as Daimbert of Pisa

Dagobert of Pisa, also called Daimbert, was Archbishop of Pisa and the first Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem. Sent as papal legate, he led a Pisan fleet to the Holy Land during the First Crusade and was elected patriarch at the end of 1099. His claims to authority over the new Kingdom of Jerusalem brought conflict with King Baldwin I, who had him deposed; he died in 1105.
