Liye

Liye is a town in Longshan County, western Hunan, China. In 2002 excavators found a well at an ancient walled site there containing tens of thousands of inscribed wooden slips from the archive of the Qin county of Qianling, dating from about 222 to 208 BCE. The documents record taxes, labour, granaries, postal relays and lawsuits, and are a major source for Qin local administration.
