Lori Berd
Lori Berd is a ruined medieval fortress town in Lori Province, northern Armenia, on a promontory between the gorges of the Dzoraget and Urut rivers. Founded by King David Anhoghin in the 11th century, it became the capital of the Kiurikian kingdom of Lori. David IV of Georgia captured it in 1118, and it declined after Mongol attacks in the 13th century.
