Lorn
Lorn is a district of Argyll in the west of Scotland, lying north of Loch Awe around Oban. It takes its name from the Cenél Loairn, a kindred of early medieval Dál Riata, and later formed a lordship held by the MacDougalls and then the Stewarts before passing to the Campbells in 1470. Dunollie and Dunstaffnage are among its historic strongholds.
