Kintyre

Kintyre is a long peninsula in the south-west of Argyll, Scotland, whose southern tip, the Mull of Kintyre, lies about 20 kilometres from Ireland. It was the heartland of the Cenél nGabráin, one of the ruling kindreds of Dál Riata, and later part of the Kingdom of the Isles and the Lordship of the Isles.
