Kinyarwanda

Kinyarwanda is the Bantu language of Rwanda, spoken by nearly the whole population and closely related to Kirundi of Burundi. In the precolonial kingdom it was shared by Hutu, Tutsi and Twa alike, and the royal court cultivated a rich tradition of dynastic poetry and oral history in it. It is one of the official languages of Rwanda.
