Oban
Oban is a town and port on the Firth of Lorn in Argyll, western Scotland, the main ferry gateway to Mull and the Hebrides. The headland of Dunollie just north of the town was an early medieval stronghold of the Cenél Loairn kings. The modern town grew from the late 18th century around a distillery and fishing, and Victorian steamers and the railway made it a tourist centre.
