Malik Ashraf
Malik Ashraf was a Chupanid ruler who controlled Tabriz and much of north-western Iran after the murder of his brother Hasan Kuchak in 1343. His rule was notorious for cruelty and extortion, driving many scholars and merchants to flee. In 1357 Jani Beg of the Golden Horde invaded Azerbaijan, captured him and had him executed.
