Mangoky River

The Mangoky is a river in south-western Madagascar, one of the longest on the island at over 500 kilometres. It rises in the central highlands and flows west to a delta on the Mozambique Channel. In the seventeenth century the plains between the Mangoky and the Tsiribihina became the heartland of the Sakalava kingdom of Menabe.
