Mareb River
The Mareb is a river of north-eastern Africa that rises in the Eritrean highlands south of Asmara, forms part of the border between Eritrea and Ethiopia and continues west into Sudan as the Gash, ending in an inland delta near Kassala. The lands north of it were long known as Medri Bahri, the land of the sea.
