Maresme
The Maresme is a comarca, or county, on the coast of Catalonia, Spain, north-east of Barcelona, with its capital at Mataró. It occupies a narrow strip between the sea and the coastal ranges, from Montgat to the mouth of the Tordera river. In antiquity it was part of the land of the Iberian Laietani, and it is now known for market gardening, textiles and seaside towns.
