Mark Carney

Mark Carney is a Canadian economist and politician who was governor of the Bank of Canada from 2008 to 2013 and of the Bank of England from 2013 to 2020. Elected leader of the Liberal Party, he became prime minister of Canada in March 2025 and won the federal election of April 2025, held amid United States tariffs and talk of annexation.
