Maulana Yusuf
Maulana Yusuf was the second Sultan of Banten in western Java, ruling from 1570 to 1580. In 1579 he captured Pakuan Pajajaran, capital of the Hindu Sunda Kingdom, ending that kingdom and bringing its lands under Banten. He also developed the city of Banten with irrigation works and a great mosque.
