Maurice Bishop International Airport
Maurice Bishop International Airport, formerly Point Salines International Airport, is the main airport of Grenada, at the south-western tip of the island. Its construction under Maurice Bishop's government with Cuban workers was seen by the United States as a possible military threat and was cited to justify the invasion of 1983. It opened in 1984 and was renamed after Bishop in 2009.
