Medinet Madi
Medinet Madi is an archaeological site in the south-western Faiyum of Egypt, the ancient town of Dja, later Narmouthis. Its temple to the cobra goddess Renenutet and the crocodile god Sobek was begun by Amenemhat III and completed by Amenemhat IV, and is the best-preserved temple of the Middle Kingdom. The town flourished again in the Ptolemaic period and later yielded Manichaean texts.
