Mirabel Castle

Also known as Migdal Afek

Mirabel was a crusader castle on the edge of the coastal plain east of Jaffa, at the site now known as Migdal Afek in Israel. Built in the 12th century near the springs of the Yarkon river, it guarded the road from Jaffa to Jerusalem and was associated with the lordship of Ramla, held by the Ibelins. It fell to Saladin in 1187.
