Mirandola
Mirandola is a town in the province of Modena in Emilia-Romagna, Italy, on the plain north of Modena. From the 14th century it was ruled by the Pico family as a fortified lordship, later a principality and duchy, until it was sold to the Este dukes of Modena in 1710. The town was badly damaged by the earthquakes of 2012.
