Modakeke
Modakeke is a town in Osun State in south-western Nigeria, adjoining Ile-Ife. It was founded in the 19th century by Oyo Yoruba refugees settled at Ife during the wars that followed the collapse of the Oyo Empire. Disputes over land and status led to repeated conflicts between Ife and Modakeke from the 1840s, with fighting breaking out again as late as 1997–2000.
