Monastery of San Pedro de Siresa

San Pedro de Siresa is a monastery church in the Hecho valley of the Aragonese Pyrenees, documented from the 9th century and among the oldest religious foundations of Aragon. Eulogius of Córdoba visited its library around 848 and took manuscripts of classical authors back to al-Andalus. The present Romanesque church, built around the 11th century, served the early counts and kings of Aragon.
