Monnet Plan
The Monnet Plan was France's first plan for reconstruction and modernisation, drawn up by Jean Monnet's planning commission and adopted in 1946. It directed investment to basic industries such as coal, steel, electricity, cement, farm machinery and transport, and was partly financed by Marshall aid. It set the model of indicative planning that guided French economic growth in the following decades.
