Mont Sainte-Odile
Mont Sainte-Odile is a sandstone mountain of about 764 metres in the Vosges above Obernai in Alsace. In the late 7th century Odile, daughter of the Alsatian duke Adalric, founded the convent of Hohenburg on its summit, and as patron saint of Alsace she made it the region's chief place of pilgrimage. The mountain also carries the Pagan Wall, a long prehistoric stone enclosure.
