Monte Barbaro
Monte Barbaro is a hill in north-western Sicily, near Calatafimi, on which stand the ruins of the ancient city of Segesta, chief settlement of the Elymians. Its summit holds the remains of the city's agora, houses and a Greek theatre facing the sea, while the unfinished Doric temple of the 5th century BCE stands on a neighbouring hill. The site was later occupied by a medieval village.
