Mukunda Deva II
Mukunda Deva II was raja of Khurda in Odisha when the British East India Company conquered the region in 1803. He joined a revolt against the Company, and in 1804 Khurda was annexed and the raja deposed and imprisoned. His family kept the title of Gajapati and the ceremonial role at the Jagannath temple of Puri, while resentment in Khurda later fed the Paika Rebellion of 1817.
