Jagannath
Jagannath, Lord of the Universe, is a Hindu deity worshipped as a form of Vishnu or Krishna, chiefly at his temple in Puri, Odisha, together with Balabhadra and Subhadra. The present temple was begun by the Eastern Ganga king Anantavarman Chodaganga in the 12th century, and the kings of Odisha served as the god's first servants. His annual chariot festival, the Rath Yatra, draws huge crowds.
