Nakhon Pathom
Nakhon Pathom is a town west of Bangkok in central Thailand and one of the largest centres of the Dvaravati culture between the 7th and 11th centuries. Silver coins found there and at other sites, inscribed with the merit of the king of Dvaravati, gave that culture its name. The town is dominated by the Phra Pathom Chedi, among the tallest stupas in the world.
